Kyle Sandilands BRUTALLY trolls Bachelor in Paradise star Jamie Doran

Kyle Sandilands wasn’t happy when Bachelor in Paradise star Jamie Doran abruptly cancelled his interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Thursday.

And the 49-year-old responded by mocking Jamie – who is currently locked in a legal battle with Channel 10 over his ‘clinger’ portrayal on the dating show – by leaving a brutal voicemail message on the reality star’s phone.

He pretended to burst into tears during the prank call, referencing how Jamie had wept on Bachelor in Paradise last week when his co-star Timm Hanly threatened to quit the series.

Revenge! Kyle Sandilands trolled Bachelor in Paradise star Jamie Doran live on air on Thursday. The radio host left a ‘tearful’ voicemail mocking Jamie after he’d cancelled his interview

The segment began with Kyle blasting Jamie for his threats to sue the network that ‘made him famous’ when he should be capitalising on his 15 minutes of fame.

His co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson agreed, noting that franchise ‘villain’ Keira Maguire had launched a successful media career after being edited badly.

Kyle decided to give the 40-year-old fireman a call in order to set the record straight, but Jamie didn’t pick up and it went to voicemail.

He then got into character as Jamie and whined: ‘I’m really upset because I’ve been watching Bachelor in Paradise, and I really supported you from the start!

‘I just can’t believe you left me here on my own, when I told everyone you were coming on the show. I get it, bro. I know what it’s like when you feel like you’ve got no other guys around you.

‘Anyway, I don’t want to make a fool of myself. I got your back, even though it feels like you don’t have mine. I’m sorry mate, I’ve got to go, see ya!’

Kyle then hung up and snapped out of character. His performance was so impressive that Jackie said he sounded just like Jamie during his recent on-air meltdown.

'I love you... hopefully you like me': After hanging up, Kyle decided to call Jamie again, and he exaggerated his plaintive voice for the second prank voicemail

‘I was going to have a day off, I only came in [to work] for you, bro… everyone else is teasing you here…’ he said.

‘Hopefully, you ring me back. Okay, mate, I love you… I like you, hopefully you like me. See ya, mate.’

Jackie laughed at the end of the call, but pointed out that Kyle’s prank could end up being heard in court ‘as an example of the ridicule’ Jamie faced because of the show.

On Wednesday, Jamie announced he was taking legal action against Channel 10 and Warner Bros. over his negative portrayal on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.

He wrote on Instagram: ‘This is not the news I wanted to post, but I feel I owe this to at least my family, friends, and also fans of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.

‘After lengthy consideration, I’ve decided to begin legal proceedings against Network 10 and Warner Bros. Australia.

‘I’m not going to comment on this any further for the time being and would appreciate it if people would respect my privacy.’

A Channel 10 spokesperson later dismissed the legal threat in a brief statement, saying that Jamie had not in fact engaged lawyers to act on his behalf against the broadcaster and production company.

‘Network 10 has not received any papers regarding this claim,’ a representative said.

Jamie has been portrayed as a ‘stage-five clinger’ on Bachelor in Paradise so far this season, and received a similar edit on The Bachelorette last year.

Some viewers have complained on Twitter that producers seem to be going out of their way to make him look ’emotionally unstable’.

A source close to Jamie told The Daily Telegraph on Thursday: ‘He’s been made to look weird, like a complete idiot. That’s why he’s so upset.’

Last week, Bachelor in Paradise fans couldn’t believe their eyes when Jamie suffered one of the biggest meltdowns in the show’s history.

He was so distraught at the thought of being ‘abandoned’ by Timm, who was considering going home early, that he packed his bags and wanted to quit, too.

‘My friendship with Timm is everything. Timm is my best friend!’ Jamie tearfully told producers in a scene many viewers found troubling.

Jamie then pleaded with Timm not to leave, telling the shaggy-haired larrikin he ‘doesn’t know how much he means’ to him during a tense bedroom showdown.

‘You know I came here because of you. Timm! Please, bro! Timm! You f**king know how much you mean to me!’ wailed Jamie as his friend packed his bags.

'I'm not dying, bro': Hundreds of bewildered viewers reacted to the scene on Twitter, with several saying that Jamie's meltdown was difficult to watch

‘Look how much you’re f**king hurting me right now! I want to wake up and see you every morning. Timm, please man! Stop packing! No! No! No!’ he shrieked.

A baffled Timm replied: ‘I’m not dying, bro!’

Hundreds of bewildered viewers reacted to the scene on Twitter, with several saying that Jamie’s meltdown was difficult to watch.

However, some fans were more sympathetic and said they were genuinely concerned for Jamie’s well-being after his emotional display.
