Joanna Chimonides has become the new co-host of BBC Radio 1’s The Reality Tea podcast.

The Love Island star, 23, will join Pilar in the studio for the third series and has taken over from Raj, who recently left the show after two seasons to focus on new presenting projects.

The Reality Tea is a weekly podcast with Joanna and Pilar that will focus on everything reality TV. The two co-hosts will also talk to a slew of reality stars and celebrities.

So far the show has interviewed the likes of Stacey Dooley, Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause and Love Island’s Dani Dyer – to name a few.

Talking about the new venture, Joanna told MailOnline: ‘I am so so excited to be joining Radio 1’s The Reality Tea Podcast as a co-host! 

‘I remember coming on as a guest late last year and I absolutely LOVED it.

Joanna shot to fame on the 2019 series of ITV2 reality show Love Island.

She ruffled a few feathers when she turned the head of Michael Griffiths during the famed Casa Amor week.

Michael was already coupled up with the eventual winner from that series Amber Gill when he started a relationship with Joanna.

The couple found themselves in the bottom two and were kicked off the show in week seven.

Since the ITV2 dating series, the reality star has launch a successful presenting and modelling career.
