A quad-bike yob who moved down a 67-year-old grandfather and his four-year-old granddaughter before speeding off whooping in triumph has been jailed for two years.

Jordan Fisher, 28, was part of a gang of bikers shooting around Warren House Park in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, on May 5 during lockdown.

When the victim’s wife warned them they would be reported for flouting coronavirus restrictions, they told her to ‘f*** off’ before Fisher drove at the family group.

Shocking video shows the grandfather being flung to the side as he is hit by the moped, and reveals the sound of the little girl sobbing as her family is attacked.

The grandfather suffered a fracture behind the knee, while the girl suffered bruises and swelling to her face.

Fisher, from Doncaster, admitted dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm and assault causing actual bodily harm at Sheffield Crown Court.

The court heard how the motorbike halted with its tyres ‘straddling’ the four-year-old girl before shooting away as its riders laughed.

In a statement, Fisher’s victim said he ‘couldn’t believe he and his granddaughter had been ploughed into’ and ‘was angry because the incident could have ended so differently’.

Sentencing him to jail and banning him from driving for 24 months, Judge Sarah Wright said: ‘This was a deliberate act. You used that vehicle as a weapon. This was a despicable, shocking act on your part.

‘What aggravates it is that you drove off without rendering assistance.’

Fisher has previous convictions for interfering with a witness in 2008, affray in 2010, and possession of drugs in 2019.

Edward Moss, mitigating, claimed: ‘This defendant has been absolutely wracked with guilt from day one.

‘He is a father of two children. The mere thought he could have injured a child in this way absolutely crucifies him.

‘He knows there can be no excuses for what happened that day. He was a family man. He has not seen his children since he was remanded into custody.

‘It’s fair to say retribution has been sought. He was identified on Facebook. His dogs have been poisoned. His family have received threats from the local community.’
