They announced their shock split on Saturday, after two years together.

And now fans are speculating why Bachelorette couple Ali Oetjen, 34, and Taite Radley, 29, really broke up.

Some fans have blamed the coronavirus pandemic, saying that spending 88 days apart in lockdown must have taken its toll.

‘It’s this damn pandemic, the stress is bringing out the worst in all of us,’ one fan commented on Instagram below Ali’s break-up post. 

They added: ‘Don’t worry, you and your man will reconnect once all this crap is over.’

Another added: ‘Very sad news – sorry to hear this. Distance and time apart is not an easy thing for a relationship…

‘I hope in time you manage to find your way back to each other, or find a way to move on and be happy, like you both deserve. Much love to you both.’

Ali and Taite announced their split on Saturday, confirming that they were ‘taking time apart’ and giving each other ‘some space’.

‘It is with the heaviest heart that we want to let everyone know that we have decided to take time apart in order to give each other space and time to fully focus on our own paths,’ Ali told her Instagram followers. 

‘We both love each other deeply and only want the best for each other and both want the ultimate happiness for each other and hopefully our paths will reconnect again soon.

‘We’ve decided to be open with this so there’s no speculation and so we expect love, respect and kindness in return. I love you Taite.’ 

Taite shared a similar message on his Instagram account, ending with: ‘I love you Ali.’

Last month, the reality TV stars finally reunited after spending 88 days in different states due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

At the time, Taite posted a loved-up photo to Instagram of the pair embracing one another, alongside the caption: ‘We’re back!’
