They’ve been close friends for years.

And Nicole Kidman confirmed her bond with Taylor Swift was as strong as ever on Saturday as she publicly praised the pop star’s new album, Folklore, on social media.

The 53-year-old actress shared a throwback video from the set of her 2017 film The Beguiled, in which she wore an outfit very similar to the one worn by Taylor on her album cover.

In the video, Nicole is seen dancing around to her husband Keith Urban’s song Blue Ain’t Your Color, while dressed in a white frock with a dark jacket draped over her shoulders.

Her hair was styled in a curled-up ‘do typical of the 1800s.

For the cover of Folklore, Taylor also wore a white dress with a dark jacket across her shoulders, and opted for curled-up hairstyle.

She has a similar look in the music video for her latest single, Cardigan.

‘On the set of #BeguiledMovie #Folklore Sisters… Love this album xx,’ Nicole wrote in the caption.

Taylor quickly thanked Nicole for her kind feedback, commenting under the post: ‘This just made me GRIN. You’re the greatest.’

Nicole has been a close friend of Taylor’s for years, having famously ditched her husband Keith’s tour to attend the pop star’s concert in 2018.

During an interview with Red magazine in 2016, the Australian even compared her life to Taylor’s while reflecting on her former marriage to Tom Cruise.

Nicole said: ‘I look back now and I’m like, “What?” You look at Taylor Swift, I mean how old is she? She’s 26.

‘I had two kids by the time I was 27 and I’d been married for four years. But that’s what I wanted.’

Meanwhile, Nicole is currently facing public backlash for receiving special permission to avoid mandatory hotel quarantine after arriving in Australia from the U.S. last Monday.

Nicole, Keith, and their daughters, Sunday Rose, 11 and Faith Margaret, nine, have instead been self-isolating at their $6.5million Southern Highlands estate.

Nicole’s publicist, Wendy Day, has refuted claims the actress and her family are flouting the government’s strict quarantine rules.

‘It’s absolute garbage. She is paying for all her own security and following all the rules, they are in isolation [for 14 days],’ Wendy told Private Sydney.
