The pregnant Love Island star could be seen breathing deeply as she endured painful contractions while lying on a hospital bed and hooked up to an electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) system.

Cara had elastic belts with electronic sensors strapped around her baby bump, as her progress was checked EFM, otherwise known as continuous cardiotocography (CTG) monitoring.
One electronic sensor was placed on top of her tummy to measure contractions, while another was placed over her baby’s heart to measure her daughter’s heartbeat.
Nathan shared a video of his wife along with a clip of the song ‘At Last’ by Etta James, and a serious of laughing face emojis.
Clearly unimpressed by her husband’s social media upload, Cara shared the video and added: ‘Why!?’

On Saturday, Cara shared a snap from hospital after being induced into early labour following her pre-eclampsia diagnosis.
A representative for the Love Island star confirmed to MailOnline that Cara has been induced amid safety concerns for herself and her unborn baby.
Cara has been joined by her husband Nathan at the hospital and the reality star joked they were having a ‘wild Saturday’ together.

A spokesperson for Cara, revealed: ‘I can confirm that due to the pre eclampsia diagnosis, Cara Delahoyde-Massey has been admitted to hospital to be induced early for the safety of her and her baby.
‘Her husband Nathan is with her in hospital at this time. I will keep you informed if there’s any further developments.’

Cara, who is nearly 37 weeks pregnant, told fans she was seeing a specialist on Friday and fans speculated the condition has caused her to be induced early.
The photo Cara uploaded to Instagram showed the mother-to-be showing off her blossoming bump in a black crop top as both she and husband Nathan wore face masks.
The reality star replied to one comment that her unborn daughter ‘can’t wait to meet her Uncle Fred’.

It comes after Cara took to Instagram on Thursday to shed light on the diagnosis of the pregnancy complication that causes high blood pressure and can be deadly for both a woman and her unborn baby if untreated.
Sharing a snap showing her carrying her son Freddie, Cara penned a lengthy caption detailing the condition and lauded her hospital for and the NHS for their help.
Alongside the stunning family photo, Cara wrote: ‘The last few days have been pretty up & down, still not out of the woods yet…
‘I have been diagnosed with ‘Preeclampsia’ after my local midwife spotted the signs at my appointment yesterday Thankyou everyone for all your messages of love & concern, I’m seeing the head consultant tomorrow to see what the next steps are…
‘Again a massive Thankyou to the NHS and all the ladies @darent_valley_hospital. But seeing this face & knowing he’s going to be a big brother makes it all worth it’.
Cara and Nathan first announced they were expecting in March. She found out she was pregnant while the couple were staying in a hotel in Leeds before she woke Nathan, also 29, up at five in the morning to tell him.

Sparks instantly flew between the couple when they paired up on the first day of Love Island back in 2016 – remaining a unit for the entirety of the season.
The couple tied the knot in June 2019 while in Kent surrounded by family and friends with X Factor’s Scarlett Lee singing at the ceremony.
In a previous interview with OK! magazine, Cara and Nathan revealed they wanted to have a ‘big’ family, ideally with their first two children born together, then waiting until their offspring are attending school before having a third.

The singer opened up about preeclampsia, the high blood pressure condition that is 60 percent more common among black women than white women in the US.
Preeclampsia affects between three and eight percent of pregnancies – but it is far more common among black women in the US. About 43 out of every 1,000 white women who deliver babies has high blood pressure.
