Melanie Griffith takes a walk down memory lane sharing throwback snaps with both mom and daughter

It was a nostalgic day for this Oscar-nominated actress on Saturday, after similar episodes earlier this week.

Melanie Griffith again shared a bevy of arresting throwback pictures showing family from way back when, including her famous mother Tippi Hedren as well as her actress daughter, Dakota Johnson.

The photos also showed Melanie, now 62, both as a child and in her heyday in the late ’90s.

In the throwback snap with mom Tippi, now 90, the mother-daughter pair sit near a pool in high-waisted two-piece swimsuits that were characteristic of the time.

Hedren, of course, is most well-known for her iconic turn in the Alfred Hitchcock classic The Birds, from 1963.

‘Me and my Mama 1962,’ Melanie captioned the shot.

And in her portrait with daughter Dakota, the Working Girl star is seen smiling and leaning over to embrace her daughter, who gives her own toothy smile.  

In the caption, Griffith points out that the snap of her and the future Fifty Shades Of Grey star was taken in 1998.

Melanie also went on to share flashback photos of her other children, including Stella Banderas, now 23, whom she shares with ex-husband Antonio Banderas. 

She also posted shots of her son Alexander Bauer, now 34, whose father is Melanie’s second ex-husband, Steven Bauer.

Dakota is daughter to Griffith and actor Don Johnson, to whom Melanie was married twice – the first time in 1976, and then again from 1989 to 1996.

And earlier this week, the Milk Money actress showed she still thinks fondly of her ex-husbands, sharing loved up throwback photos with each of them, as well.

The endearing posts came amongst others showing Melanie in her younger years, as the actress was surely going through old photographs and felt compelled to share some happy memories.

And Griffith isn’t the only one to take occasional walks down memory lane on Instagram – her dear longtime friend Jamie Lee Curtis, also a daughter of an actress famous for appearing in a Hitchcock film, frequently posts throwbacks of herself and her famous family.
