Kerry Washington will reunite with the cast of Scandal on Stars in the House… two years after the series wrapped

ABC’s hit show Scandal ran for seven seasons from 2012 to 2018. 

And the cast, including lead Kerry Washington, who played Washington D.C. fixer Olivia Pope, will reunite virtually on Wednesday, July 29. 

Scandal will be the latest cast to reunite on web-series Stars in the House, hosted by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley.

Washington will be joined by many of her co-stars including love interest Tony Goldwyn, who played President Fitzgerald Grant, and Bellamy Young who played her former foe turned friend President Mellie Grant. 

 

The episode will partner Stars in the House, with People, and will be live streamed on the magazine’s pages on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, according to press release. 

Other fan favorites to join the reunion include Jeff Perry, who played Chief of Staff and Vice President Cyrus Beene, Joe Morton (Olivia’s father Rowan Pope) and Dan Bucatinsky (Cyrus’ late husband and journalist James Novak). 

The show followed Olivia and her team of ‘gladiators’ as they were hired to manage D.C.’s biggest scandals as she also navigated an on and off affair with the President.

Team members will also return including Cornelius Smith (Marcus Walker joining in the fourth season), along with Guillermo Diaz who played loveable former hitman Huck and Katie Lowes who took over Olivia’s practice as Quinn Perkins, and her love love interest, former spy Charlie, played by George Newburn.

Others to join include Emmy Award nominee Kate Burton, who played Vice President turned conservative talk show host Sally Langston, and Norm Lewis who portrayed Olivia’s former love interest and Senator Edison Davis.   

Scandal executive producer and director Tom Verica will also join, but no word on creator Shonda Rhimes. 

Viewers will be able to ask questions in real-time and as the show is hosted in support of The Actors Fund, can donate and have their name read by a cast member.

Scandal aired its series finale in April 2018, and the show left with President Mellie Grant  (Young) in office as the first female POTUS, as Olivia looked to leave D.C. and ride off into the sunset with her love former President Fitzgerald Grant. 

Stars in the House, was started in mid-March amid the coronavirus pandemic and since has raised nearly $400k for The Actors Fund. 

Cast if Melrose Place, The Comeback, Glee and Desperate Housewives are among those who have reunited to support the cause.
