Kylie Minogue reveals she ‘did an Adele’ by re-watching her Glastonbury 2019 slot with beau Paul Solomons to celebrate her performance

Kylie Minogue celebrated her slot in Glastonbury’s Legends sections in 2019 by ‘doing an Adele‘ and re-watching her performance with beau Paul Solomons.

The singer, 52, made an appearance on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday, and talked about the fun celebration as she promoted her new single Say Something from her 15th album Disco.

Of how she and her other half commemorated the occasion, she said: ‘I did do a bit of an Adele with my boyfriend and we had our Glasto T-shirts on.

‘I had the nerves leading up to it, not as much as on the day, but we had rosé on the go and it was so nice watching it again.’

Kylie also admitted that she ‘got teary in the middle’ of the performance, but felt it was over ‘too soon’ when her set ended.

Kylie and Paul first laid eyes on each other when they were introduced through mutual friends in February 2018, and they then confirmed their romance in April.

Going on to discuss her new album, Kylie claimed it was ‘pretty much a party’ as the theme was Disco, though she admitted she ‘took a little while to find what my interpretation of that is.’

The singer’s newest single Say Something was given its first airplay on the radio show, and she said of the track: ‘We wrote it last year I just think it’s this gigantic song yet it’s very heartfelt at the same time.

‘When you see the video, which will be a week or two away, it’s like a galactic disco, it’s about our eternal quest for love and searching and how there’s someone out there who you can relate to and makes you a better person.’

After receiving a lot of support from fans on the show, she gushed: ‘It felt like the one to go with first and there’s a lot of room for emotion with that, however you feel. If you want to shut up and dance, or cry.’

Saying the music video for Say Something would be released in due course, Kylie added that they adhered to social distancing rules while filming.

‘I think we’re going to get the director moving on that, and she is she’s wonderful her name is Sophie Miller,’ she explained.

‘We worked on it with the COVID supervisor and everyone in masks so a slightly different experience, but trust me when I say I felt as exhausted in that video as I do with any other video.’

Kylie’s 15th studio album will be released on November 6, and preorders are open for Disco now.
