Allison Langdon’s cruel ‘betrayal’ to Karl Stefanovic on the Today show

Last week, Karl Stefanovic walked off the set of the Today Show after finding a seemingly ‘cruel’ tweet his co-host Allison Langdon made calling him ‘lazy’.

But after it was revealed to be a prank pulled by the father-of-four, it appears Allison, 41, decided to give him a taste of his own medicine.

On Wednesday, the blonde stunner shared CCTV footage of Karl, 45, arriving at work – which he called a ‘betrayal’.

Is this the last straw? On Wednesday, Today Show host Allison Langdon shared a video which her co-star Karl Stefanovic called a ‘betrayal’ during a live broadcast

‘I managed to get my hands on security camera vision from Channel Nine lift, this is you arriving at work this morning,’ Allison told her co-star.

The hilarious footage shows Karl, who recently vowed to lose 10 kilos, hop into the elevator and begin to primp and preen in front of the mirrors.

Opening his jacket, Karl sucked in his stomach and checked himself out from several angles.

Unexpectedly, Karl then breaks into a fighting stance and starts to practice some kung fu moves.

As Allison and their colleagues burst into laughter at the video, Karl hits back.

‘That’s a betrayal of our relationship,’ he said to Allison.

‘You’ll keep… I’m going to get you back,’ he adds with a laugh.

Allison responded: ‘Good luck with that.’

The pair are well known for pulling practical jokes on one another while on air.

Last week Karl walked off set during a live broadcast after being told Allison had posted a ‘hurtful’ tweet about him – or so it seemed.

While the bizarre moment was later revealed to be a prank, Karl’s performance was quite convincing.

The segment began with Karl calling out Allison for making disparaging remarks about him and sports reporter Alex Cullen on Twitter.

Following Alex’s rugby league update, Karl said: ‘I don’t think they’d be alone in bagging colleagues out privately, obviously.’

‘Yeah, it happens,’ a solemn-looking Alex replied.

Karl continued: ‘It does happen, and it’s not very nice. I’ve actually managed to intercept a tweet Ally sent Tim [Davies, Today’s weather presenter], and this is what it says here.’

He then read aloud the Twitter post, which also appeared on screen.

‘Hey Tim, I think Alex and Karl are LAZY and letting the team down. I’m so sick of carrying them every morning,’ it read.

‘So that’s Allison Langdon to Tim. That’s good, isn’t it?’ Karl said, bitterly.

Consoling with carbs: 'Playing along with the joke, Alex added: 'That hurts. That hurts me right in the bread basket'

Realising what was going on, Allison smiled wryly and said: ‘Look, I stand by it!’

It was later revealed to be a joke made up by Karl, who most likely used a Twitter meme generator to make up the fake tweet.
