A lot was riding on Big Brother’s final nomination challenge on Tuesday, as the winner was given the ultimate power over their rivals.

The night before, the remaining four housemates had been told the winner of the challenge would be able to decide who joined them in the final three.

Fighting for the upper hand, they were tasked with keeping multiple metal balls on a sloping track while running up and down a set of stairs.

Proving it was a case of mind over matter, Chad won the last showdown despite suffering from an ankle injury.

The male model was then given the difficult task of removing one of his rivals from the game ahead of the public vote.

At the eviction ceremony, he told host Sonia Kruger that the decision had come down to either Daniel or Mat, because he wasn’t evicting his girlfriend, Sophie.

After weighing up who was worthy of the final three and whom he could potentially beat in the finale, Chad chose to evict Mat.
