Furious: Katie Price has slammed her ex Dwight Yorke for not getting in touch while their son Harvey, 18, has been fighting for his life in the intensive care unit

Speaking to New magazine, she said: ‘Whether you want to be in your son’s life or not, you still created him and he’s still your son.

‘If you know your son is in intensive care and there’s a chance he could die, as a human being with feelings you should get in contact.’

Despite Dwight’s reluctantance to see Harvey, Katie said her ex-husband and Harvey’s former step father Peter Andre wants to visit him in hospital.

Katie said that Peter has ‘stepped up’ and has been really supportive during this tough time, as well as asking if he can come and see Harvey with her.

Katie recently confirmed that Harvey was starting to feel better after being rushed to hospital, where eight doctors fought to save his life.

Katie told The Sun Online: ‘I’m happy because now he’s on the road to recovery. So hopefully he will make the holiday.’

Although parents aren’t normally allowed in the resuscitation room, Katie told the publication that doctors soon realised she needed to be in there.

Katie’s update on Harvey comes after she told a bankruptcy hearing she has ‘lost everything’ as she spoke about being burgled and attending the Priory.

Katie, who was declared bankrupt in November last year, has had average recent monthly earnings of £45,000, a court heard.

She joined a hearing at the insolvency and companies court at the Rolls Building in London via Skype.

She said she was going to visit her son Harvey in hospital after the hearing, adding: ‘It’s one thing after the other.’

At the weekend, she shared a video saying Harvey was feeling ‘a lot better’ after confirming on July 12 that Harvey, who suffers from partial blindness, Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, and learning and behavioural difficulties, had been admitted to intensive care.

Asked about what assets she has, Katie told the court she owns a house but is currently living in a rented property.

She also said she has a Beetle car, one horse and one pony, but nothing else.

Katie said: ‘I haven’t got anything, I haven’t got absolutely anything left, everything has been stolen off me.’

She said she had been burgled and cannot get any insurance, adding: ‘I’ve lost everything.’

One of her representatives told the court that over the last three years he had been observing the ‘mental abuse’ Katie had been on the receiving end of.

She told the hearing she had a ‘bad breakdown’ last year and that she was an inpatient at the Priory for five weeks.

Katie said she had had suicidal thoughts, but added: ‘I am here, I am sorting myself out.’

Judge Catherine Burton adjourned the case for a further hearing on October 27.

Katies ex-husband Alex Reid attended the hearing in person.

The former model, formerly known as Jordan, was once said to be worth more than £40 million.

At a hearing in October 2018, she was given time to negotiate a deal with the taxman over her finances and her proposal for an Individual Voluntary Agreement (IVA) was accepted.

An IVA is a formal agreement which lets people with debt repay their creditors at an affordable rate in a bid to avoid bankruptcy.

However, the renewed bankruptcy proceedings last year were brought after she failed to meet the terms of the agreement.

Katie is believed to have debts of £800,000, and failed to pay £12,000 a month to her creditors after taking out an individual voluntary arrangement. She did not appear at her previous bankruptcy hearing.

Back in December, a court ruled a trustee could be appointed to sell off her assets, including her £2million nine-bedroom home in West Sussex, nicknamed the ‘mucky mansion’.

But the star suffered another blow earlier this month after the property was ransacked and destroyed by intruders.

The television personality, who is currently renting a house nearby as the property undergoes a complete makeover, is said to be ‘devastated’ after learning the ground floor ceiling has collapsed after the burglars turned the shower head on and leant it over the bath, wrecking her brand new kitchen.

All of the damage is said to have been discovered by a neighbour, who was in the midst of conducting a routine sweep of the home and its surrounding 12 acres.

Katie has been pursued by creditors and the taxman after revealing she has spent her entire £45million fortune.

Back in December, she was said to be £100,000 in arrears on mortgage repayments on the home which she allegedly spends £2,000 a month heating by leaving it on all the time.

She is also believed to have spent £120,000 on housekeepers, gardeners and nannies – and around £25,000 a year on plastic surgery.

The former glamour model also spends £1,500 a week on manicures and pedicures, £1,000 on hair appointments and £800 on massages every other day, reported the Daily Mirror.

Katie used to be able to fund her lifestyle through modelling, reality TV shows and fragrances when she was at the height of her fame in the 1990s and 2000s, but her main income nowadays is her QuestRed My Crazy Life show.
