Gogglebox stars Stephen Webb and husband Daniel Lustig celebrate their two year wedding anniversary

They tied the knot two years ago in a picturesque French ceremony.

And Stephen Webb and his husband Daniel Lustig were celebrating their anniversary on Tuesday, as they shared sweet messages and a series of loved-up photographs.

The Gogglebox star, 48, shared a snap from their wedding album of the couple holding hands as they walked down the aisle after a romantic ceremony in a chateau.

Meanwhile, Daniel posted a series of snaps of the couple from their wedding day as well as a selection of sweet selfies, including one in a sunflower field. 

Writing a message to his husband alongside the snaps, Daniel said: ‘Happy anniversary to my wonderful husband. Two years ago we were getting married with all our friends and family. 

‘You are my rock love you #teamlustigwebb all the way @stephengwebb1971 #anniversary #husbandsofinstagram #chateaudelisse.’

Stephen and Daniel married in front of family and friends in a ceremony held at the Chateau de Lisse in Lot-et-Garonne in France in July 2018.

The couple were engaged for two-and-a-half years after Stephen pooped the question to his long-term love during a trip to the Taj Mahal in India.

They are also business partners at their Brighton-based salon Lustig and Webb.  

Stephen shared the happy news of their engagement back in 2016 with a number of scenic pics of the couple alongside the caption: ‘I asked the lovely @lustig75 to marry me in the beautiful surroundings of the Oberio hotel in Agra, and he said yes.’ 

One pic showed off Daniel’s stunning diamond ring, while Stephen also shared a snap of the beautiful setting for his romantic proposal.

The couple have been together for over two years after meeting in a queue for parking permits at Hove Town Hall.

Admitting he fell in love at first sight, Stephen has told The Sun that he planned out the proposal and told his ex boyfriend Chris and his fiance Tony about his plans before jetting off on holiday, explaining ‘They were very happy for us!’ 

Daniel admitted he was completely surprised by the proposal after Stephen asked him to take a photo of him with the iconic Taj Mahal in the background.

He said: ‘As I was taking the picture Stephen extended his hands out and asked me to zoom in. I was in complete shock as I saw the ring and heard the words, ‘I love you will you marry me?’. 

‘It was all so romantic, the best day of my life!’, he gushed, adding of the ring: ‘I was always unsure of what kind of ring I’d like, but I have to say Stephen’s done well in his choosing!’

After celebrating with a champagne dinner at the Orient Express restaurant the couple continued their trip by flying to Kerala on the south west coast.

Stephen was in a relationship with fellow hairdresser Chris Steed when Gogglebox first launched in 2013 but decided they were better off as friends after the first series and have continued to star on the show together. 

Chris married boyfriend Tony Ashby in 2017 after getting engaged three months before Stephen.

Explaining the situation in the past, Chris said: ‘We were friends years ago, and then we evolved into sort of more like a relationship, so we were actually seeing each other when I got the opportunity of going on Gogglebox. So that’s how Stephen and I got on it.’

‘We were actually a couple for the first series! But we decided that we’re better as friends. So second series, we went into it as friends, but I think a lot of followers that watched the first series continued to think that we were a couple.’
