Big Brother’s Sarah McDougal reveals the behind-the-scenes moment that had the housemates in tears 

They are stuck in a house with strangers and have to survive off food rations for weeks on end.

So, it comes as no surprise that the Big Brother contestants get a little emotional at times.

And, evicted housemate Sarah McDougal has revealed that there was one unaired moment that had every housemate in tears.

Earlier in the season fans may remember that Daniel Gorringe received an emotional phone call from his girlfriend Ana Cannon. 

But, Sarah has revealed to New Idea that Dan wasn’t the only one who received a special call from home.

‘When we reached the final 10, we had a Mexican fiesta and during that, we actually all got a video from home and we were all balling our eyes out,’ Sarah told the magazine. 

The reality star added that unlike Dan’s face-to-face call, the rest of the housemates received a prerecorded video message from their loved ones.  

‘It’s really what you needed at that point [of the game]. I’m surprised they didn’t show that,’ she said. 

Sarah’s video message came from her boyfriend, Nathan Hargrave, who revealed that he was incredibly ‘proud’ of her and that he was ‘excited’ she made it to the top 10.   

Sadly, Sarah was eliminated from the competition on Monday night’s episode, but she is currently preparing to reunite with her former rivals at the Big Brother live finale on Wednesday night.  

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Monday, Sarah said she expects the reunion to be ‘a bit hectic’ as the ex-housemates compete for their final moment in the spotlight.

‘I think some of the people who left earlier on in the series are going to try and blow it up to get their 10 seconds of fame,’ she said.
