Katy Perry addresses the rumour that she has chosen Jennifer Aniston to be her daughter’s Godmother

Katy Perry has finally spoken out on the rumour that she has chosen pal Jennifer Aniston to be her daughter’s Godmother. 

Speaking to KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday, the expectant mother said that Jennifer, 51, was amused by the chatter.  

‘She texted us, because we are friendly with her, and [my fiancé] Orlando [Bloom] is one of her good friends. And we were like wow, this is a wild rumour. 

‘God knows she’s had everything said about her. This is a fun rumour. But no, we have no idea where it came from.’ 

She called the rumour, ‘a product of the media and the internet. You should definitely believe everything you read.’

Katy, 35, went on to joke that she was ‘swollen everywhere’ as she awaits the birth of her daughter in a matter of weeks, and showed off her bump in a crop top. 

‘I am going to be 190 pounds. I am large, Marge in charge,’ she joked, revealing her belly on the live stream. 

‘Everything is swollen. My hands are swollen. My feet are swollen. I am in sandals, whatever.’

Katy met her fiance Orlando Bloom at a Golden Globes after-party in January of 2016 and they began dating shortly after.

The pair ended their relationship in 2017, but were back together by April of the following year. 

Orlando proposed to Katy on Valentine’s Day in 2019, following an American Idol taping in Los Angeles. 

The singer has another arrival soon – she is currently anticipating the August release of her fifth studio album Smile. 

Katy and Orlando learned they were expecting a daughter, during a gender reveal party held at their home in April.

Though this is Perry’s first child, Bloom is already father to nine-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with his model ex wife Miranda Kerr, 37.
