Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton stroll through sunny London hand-in-hand after hitting the shops

Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton took a leisurely amble through sunny London hand-in-hand after hitting the shops on Saturday.

The couple looked at ease as they strolled along, with Kevin, 37, playing the doting boyfriend by carrying Stacey’s purse over his shoulder.

The broadcast journalist kept things chic in a black strap top and baggy lounge pants.

She wore chunky black sandals but added a burst of bright colour with statement retro shades in orange.

She added a necklace and bracelet to the look, but left Kevin to hold onto her black shoulder purse.

The presenter wore her russet locks loosely around her bare shoulders.

Kevin wore a baggy white T-shirt and stonewashed jeans, adding casual shoes and a black baseball cap to the look. 

The pair chatted animatedly as they headed across the street.

They seemed in great spirits, chuckling together before heading into another store.

Kevin Clifton admitted that he is ‘jealous’ of his girlfriend as she has gone back to work amid the easing of the coronavirus restrictions.

The professional dancer also revealed that he’s ‘starting to get really fed up now’ and is ‘itching’ to get back to his own busy schedule.

Talking on his podcast, Kevin explained how he’s been spending much of lockdown on his ‘PlayStation and watching Netflix‘ and is now ‘the least fit I’ve ever been’.

He said: ‘This last month, I’ve started to get an itching to get back to work, and my girlfriend is back at work.

‘I’m getting jealous of that. I’m starting to get really fed up now. It’s been an excuse to sit and play my ­PlayStation and just watch Netflix, but now I wish I could be performing. I think this is the least fit I’ve ever been right now.’

Kevin and Stacey started dating after she starred on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018. The pair were crowned champions and became a couple in April 2019.

The dancer recently revealed that he was so desperate to be paired with eventual winner Stacey, he called in a favour with one of the choreographers. 

Speaking on The Kevin Clifton Show podcast he revealed he asked Strictly choreographer Jason Gilkison, who he worked with on the Burn The Floor tour, for a hand. 

While last month Kevin admitted he fears for Stacey’s life when she is working on her TV documentaries.

The dancer thinks his girlfriend is ‘very brave’ but confessed he still worries when she travels to dangerous territories to film her BBC shows.

He said: ‘She’s very brave. All I can say to her is just, “Please be careful. Don’t go too far to get some conversation you want or something. It’s not worth it. Just come back to me in one piece.”‘
