Love Island’s Olivia Bowen throws husband Alex a sweet festival-themed party from home to celebrate his 29th birthday

The coronavirus pandemic has put the festival season on hold.

So Olivia Bowen took matters into her own hands on Saturday to celebrate husband Alex’s 29th birthday.

The Love Island star, 26, organised a festival-themed party for her spouse, 28, whose birthday is on July 23, as she decked their garden out with balloons and straw bundles.

Olivia took to Instagram to show off the fun celebration as she posted a collection of snaps from the event.

The celebration featured an elaborate display of blue, navy, cream, and golden balloons that climbed up the brickwork and patio outside of their property.

The Love Islander even included a blue and gold ‘Alex Fest’ sign that the couple sweetly posed in front of for a picture.

The couple rocked casual clothes that were in keeping with the summer festival theme.

Olivia wore a vintage-inspired white frilled dress with a scrunchy and black ankle boots.

She tied her blonde waves in a loose bun and accessorised the final look with a pair of classic gold hoop earrings.

Alex went for a black T-shirt and matching shorts combo with contrasting white trainers.

The couple shot to fame during the second series of the ITV2 show in 2016 and tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony two years later at Gosfield Hall in Essex.

They splashed the cash again recently after purchasing a £1 million five-bedroom home in Essex, which served as the location for their ‘Alex Fest’ party.

Olivia credits their financial success to the fans they gained from entering the Love Island villa.

The couple revealed they are worth a staggering £4.5million after making their money through modelling contracts, club appearances, clothing deals and other TV roles.

Speaking to The Sun, Olivia said: ‘We have definitely been lucky but there is no guarantee that you will strike it rich from going on Love Island.

‘We know people who have gone back to their normal jobs after the show and nothing has changed for them.

‘You have to be really savvy to achieve longevity. You have to work hard and make the right decisions.’
