‘I find it difficult to cope’: Coronation Street’s Kate Ford emotionally pleads with fans to stop taking photos of her without asking
Coronation Street star Kate Ford has pleaded with fans to stop taking pictures of her without asking.
Taking to Twitter the actress, 43, insisted she’ll ‘always oblige’ when asked to pose for a photo with a fan, but doesn’t enjoy having snaps or videos taken of her without permission.
Kate has appeared on Coronation Street as the scheming Tracy Barlow on and off since 2002, and left the soap in 2007 before returning again in 2010.

In her tweet Kate penned: ‘Please please can people ask to take a photo or video of me please, I find it so difficult to cope with when people do this without asking
‘I always oblige when asked x.’
Kate has long been known as one of Corrie’s most well-known love/hate figures, with many of her exploits also centering around her on/off relationship with Steve McDonald.

In response to Kate’s plea, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz recalled a time when they once met on the London Underground.
He tweeted: ‘We met on the tube the once! I had to come over and ask! As I’m a huge fan. I get people whispering and taking pics now.. If anyone asks I always say yes. (sic)’
Kate responded: ‘was lovely to meet you’.

One fan claimed Kate had once she would go back to have a picture with them at a Trafford Centre light switch on, but didn’t return.
They tweeted: ‘I asked you once at the trafford centre light switch on. You said you would come back, and never did. I was gutted! (sic)’
Kate apologised, but the fan admitted there are no hard feelings. They replied: ‘Don’t be sorry it was a busy night! And years ago.’ (sic)
