Sarah Harris BEGS for a job at Channel Nine live on Studio 10

‘Call me!’ Sarah Harris BEGS for a job at Channel Nine live on Studio 10 after the morning show airs a cringeworthy dog show segment

She has remained loyal to Channel 10 for years, despite rumours rival networks have tried to lure her away with big-money offers.

But Sarah Harris finally reached the end of her rope on Wednesday, when a segment on Studio 10 became just too cringeworthy to bear.

As co-hosts Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Denise Drysdale presented a live dog show, Sarah scrawled ‘Ch 9, call me?’ on a white board and showed it to the camera.

Call me! Studio 10 host Sarah Harris pleaded with rival network Channel Nine to save her from Channel 10, on Wednesday

She was only joking, of course, but Sarah’s eyes betrayed genuine sadness as a costumed Shih Tzu poodled around the set.

As she held up the sign, she said: ‘I have been thinking extremely carefully about this. Not since Dancing with the Dogs has there been a moment of television that golden here on Studio 10.

‘I’d just like to say… Channel Nine, call me!?’

She added: ‘[We can] work something out, put our differences behind us. I’m available, I can do autocue if you want.’

Fellow panellist Joe Hildebrand was also unimpressed with the segment, saying: ‘Why do we keep having dog shows on this show? It never works. No one on this show has long-term memory.’

Sarah’s joke about switching networks comes two years after Nine was rumoured to have been ‘keen’ to poach her to host the Today show.

Ready to move? Sarah, ready to give her judgement on the dogs, flipped over a sign that read: 'CH 9 call me!?' She quipped: '[we can] work something out, put our differences behind us. I'm available, I can do autocue if you want'

In December 2018, The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Nine was interested in casting her as a co-host alongside Georgie Gardener.

At the time, Karl Stefanovic had just been axed from the show (he would return a year later) but Sarah was still under contract at Channel 10.

Sarah has hosted Studio 10 since 2013.

Aside from her television career, she has two sons, Paul, four, and Harry, two, whom she shares with her husband, Tom Ward.
