Megan Thee Stallion reveals she suffered gunshot wounds amid gun arrest charge of rapper Torey Lanez

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has claimed that she was shot on Sunday after fellow rapper Torey Lanez was arrested on a gun charge at a house party in the Hollywood Hills. 

Initial reports of the incident said Stallion, 25, was nursing a bloodied foot following the incident, but she took to her Instagram account on Wednesday to give her side of the story.

Stallion – real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete – told her 12.5 million followers: ‘I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.’

‘I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets,’ she added.

Stallion also said in her statement that she felt ‘incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery.’

She went on: ‘but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night. I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.’
