Daisy May Cooper hits back at critic for branding her a ‘TROLL’

Daisy May Cooper has hit back at troll who made a vile comment about her appearance following her debut on last week’s Celebrity Gogglebox.

The pregnant actress, 34, appeared on the all star spin-off for the first time on Friday alongside dad Paul, but was met with cruel comments from an online critic.

However the This Country star responded in the best way, as she shared a make-up free video of herself dancing after seeing the troll’s post.

Daisy, who is pregnant with her and husband Will Weston’s second child, shared some of the abuse she had seen following her appearance on the Channel 4 show.

She shared a tweet, which read: ‘Watching Celebrity Gogglebox and Daisy May Cooper looks like a troll.’

In the video, Daisy was dancing along to the song Trolls Just Want To Have Fun from the film Trolls 2, as she proved she doesn’t care about the ‘haters’.

Daisy’s celebrity pals rushed to support her in the comments section, including Fearne Cotton who wrote: ‘Shame people are d**ks. You are QUEEN. [heart emoji].

While Rhian Sugden simply shared a heart emoji and hands clapping emoji.

Daisy, who plays Kerry Mucklowe on the show, took to Instagram earlier this year in March to announce the exciting news by sharing a snap of her ultrasound.

Daisy has been married to Will since September 2019, and the couple are proud parents to daughter Pip.

The Cincester-born star rose to prominence when she created the comedy series This Country alongside her brother Charlie. 

Daisy married Will last September in an intimate ceremony in The Cotswolds, with the star revealing her nuptials when she paid tribute to her co-star and childhood friend Michael Sleggs.

Michael died in July 2019 of heart failure at the age of just 33, and had played Michael ‘Slugs’ Slugette on This Country.

Daisy penned at the time: ‘It’s me wedding tomorrow and this one was going to be one of my bridesmaids in a white suit.

‘I miss you so much and I will miss you so bloody much tomorrow. Thank the lord for slugs x.’

Daisy co-wrote and starred in This Country alongside her brother Charlie, and follows the daily exploits of best friends Kerry and Kurtan in rural England.
