Lauren Silverman has been forced to deny she had a bust-up with Alesha Dixon over fears she had grown too close to Simon Cowell. 

The Sun had claimed Lauren, 42, had a showdown with Alesha, 41, over her misplaced  worries, leaving the judge feeling shaken and upset.

The publication claims the two ladies remain friends and that Lauren and Simon have been getting on well in lockdown with son Eric, six. 

But they claim that a conversation between the two ladies was witnessed by several people during a break in filming before lockdown. 

They said: ‘Lauren took Alesha to a curtained-off room back stage during a break. It’s a communal area where crew make teas so it caused quite a reaction when a lot of people were stopped from going in.

‘About 15 minutes later Alesha emerged looking shaken and had to have a quick glam touch-up and be whisked straight back on set.

‘Lauren departed and never returned for the rest of auditions in London or Manchester.’ 

A source told MailOnline that the claims are simply not true. 

They said: ‘Alesha and Lauren are very good pals. They have literally never had a row.’

Back in May, Simon, 60, denied having an affair with Mel B, 45. The Sun had claimed that Lauren had confronted Mel, who works alongside Simon on America’s Got Talent.  

But it does seem fair to say that Simon has been enjoying family life in lockdown with Lauren and his son.  

Simon recently showed off his Father’s Day letter from son Eric, branding it his ‘favourite thing ever,’ during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The music mogul revealed that his son had written that he likes to walk in his dad’s footsteps and had signed off by declaring his never-ending love for his father.

Asked to show off an item that makes him proud, Simon joked: ‘Well, I would normally hold up a bottle of Corona beer, but it’s the most inappropriate beer.’

Revealing the item he’s actually most proud of, the X Factor boss unveiled the sweet note written to him by Eric.

Her said: ‘This was given to me on Father’s Day and I’m going to read this to you because it was touching. This is from Eric, my six-year-old boy, to me…

‘I like to waddle, you like to waddle. I like fish, and you like fish. You like to swim, and I like to swim. 

‘I like to walk in your footsteps standing tall like you. You have webbed feet, and I have webbed feet… and I will always love you, Eric.’

After reading out the letter, Simon declared: ‘It’s my favourite thing I’ve ever had.’
