Lucy Hale stops by LA store to pick up groceries wearing tank top and sports shorts

She got very emotional earlier this month when talking to her social media followers about the cancellation of her Riverdale spin-off Katy Keene after just one season.

But Lucy Hale is just getting on with things now the initial shock has worn off.

On Sunday, the actress, 31, stopped by a supermarket and picked up some supplies.

Hale was dressed in a white tank top and black sports shorts along with black sneakers.

She had on a NY Yankees baseball cap and sunglasses.

The Pretty Little Liars alum wore a cloth face mask as Californians are now required to don face coverings while in public places to try and curb the rise in coronavirus cases in the state.

She pulled down the mask after exiting the store in order to grab a drink from the bottle she was carrying.  

Fans of Hale know she is besotted with her Maltipoo Elvis whom she dotes on.

She has said publicly she believes she and Elvis knew each other in a previous life.

On Sunday, she showed off an early birthday present she’d been give, a pair pf leggings decorated with images of her dog.

‘I’m never taking them off,’ she shared in a video clip posted to her Instagram Stories as the white fluffy pup stood on a striped sofa wagging his tale.

Hale will turn 32 on July 14. 

In a three-minute Instagram video on July 3, Hale described herself as ‘a blubbering mess’ after learning The CW wasn’t going to re-up her show.

She called Katy Keene ‘one of the highlights of my life’ and said it had been a ‘total joy from top to bottom’ to work on it.

‘I just wanted you all to hear that the show is not coming back, and that sucks, but I’ll hold my head high and who knows what I’ll do next,’ she said.

Meanwhile, the season of Katy Keene is currently available to stream on HBO Max.
