Holly Willoughby posts stunning Instagram video showing her doing her own hair and makeup

She recently revealed she had been dying her own hair during lockdown. 

And Holly Willoughby has also had to do her own makeup for her TV appearances as she posted a video of herself tackling her hair and makeup on Friday while pining for her glam squad.

The This Morning presenter, 39, was seen going makeup-free while blowdrying her blonde locks before clipping her hair back and tackling her makeup ready for her last appearance on the ITV show before her summer break. 

She kept things casual for the video as she wore a navy hoodie emblazoned with the logo of rap group The Streets. 

Holly seemed in high spirits throughout the video as she sped through her morning routine of blowdrying her hair. 

She then did a full face of natural makeup with foundation, concealer, bronzer and a slick of eyeshadow. 

Holly captioned her home routine video lamenting having to do her own hair and makeup and hoping she wouldn’t have to do it for much longer. 

She wrote: ‘109 days of lockdown… missing my Patsy O’Neil makeup and Ciler Peksah hair stylist ❤️ 

‘Here’s hoping this is the final time I do this,’ she said. Holly is taking her usual summer break from This Morning, and will return in September.

On Tuesday, Holly showed off her longer blonde hair as she asked her 6.8million followers: ‘Chop or not to chop?’

Pulling her glossy locks down on one side to show off how much it’s grown, Holly admitted her signature short do has ‘grown like crazy’ while the hair salons remained close. 

‘Sooo… what do I do with this??? Chop or not to chop? ✂️ ✂️ Hair has grown like crazy… imagine the roots I’d have by now!!!!’ she captioned the shot.

The pic was met with a swarm of ‘likes’ from fans while Holly’s This Morning co-star Rochelle Humes commented ‘I love it’ and her Celebrity Juice pal Keith Lemon sweetly added: ‘Whatever ya do you’ll still look ace!’ 

Holly’s colour meanwhile was looking impeccable after she previously revealed she’s been dying her roots at home during lockdown. 

Speaking in a video on Instagram for British Vogue’s Vogue Night In series back in May, Holly, who is a brand ambassador for Garnier, confessed she hasn’t always been a DIY hair expert.

She explained of a previous colour mishap: ‘I went red by accident, when I was much, much younger, and I used to kind of experiment with your hair, and I was – I’d gone blonde through using those kind of beach spray blondes.’

‘So I came back home and I thought ‘Oh, I better just put this dark hair dye over the top.’ And, obviously, I mean, I’m not a colourist, but that was a disaster because it didn’t go brown, it went red.’

‘But not even like a nice red, and also red, it did not suit me, but I had to stay like that for ages until the colour grew out. So I get with home hair colour why people are nervous, because I have had my own disasters too.’  

While Holly is debating whether to visit the salon, her This Morning co-presenter Phillip Schofield, 58, wasted no time in making his first trip to the barbers after the lockdown restrictions were eased. 

He took a selfie on Monday as he sat in a salon chair with a towel draped around his shoulders and a patterned face mask secured across his mouth. 

Celebrity hairdresser Lino Carbosiero MBE stood behind Phil fully clad in a face mask, visor and black gloves.

Phil uploaded the photo alongside a simple caption that read: ‘Finally I can visit @linocarbosiero.’
