The UK’s favourite TV family revealed: The Simpsons top the list

The Simpsons have been crowned the UK’s favourite family on TV, a new survey has revealed – pushing the Trotters from Only Fools and Horses into second place.

A third of Britons named the dysfunctional American family from Springfield, created by Matt Groening in the late 1980s, as their most-loved on the box.

The study, by Freeview, also found that people in the UK are now sitting together to watch 18 hours of TV a week – four hours more than before lockdown.

While classic cartoons like The Addams Family and The Flintstones made the list, placing joint third, TV personalities also featured in the top ten – with Gogglebox stars the Moffatts and the Malones coming in at eight and ninth place, respectively.

Here, FEMAIL reveals a run down of the top ten TV families voted for by a survey of 2,000 British people…

The show follows Homer and his wife Marge and their three children Bart, Lisa and Maggie and is a satirical depiction of their working-class life.
