Kawakawa Fox-Reo and Patrick O’Connor filmed an intense fight scene for Home and Away on Monday. 

Playing the role of Nikau Parata, Kawakawa looked furious as he locked horns with Patrick – who portrays the character of Dean. 

The scene started with the pair attempting to hash things out via a conversation – however, their war of words quickly escalated before they came to blows.

Dressed in a khaki jacket and patchwork denims, Kawakawa effortlessly showed off his acting prowess as he grabbed Patrick by the collar.  

Patrick, dressed in a blue top with the fictional Ben’s Boards logo, appeared equally as raging, as he too grabbed Kakakawa by the collar. 

The pair’s intense scuffle took their company by surprise as they attempted to break up the fight.

Home and Away viewers will have to wait for the explosive scene to air to see what the brawl was over.    

While Patrick has been on the soap since 2018, Kakakawa made his debut in February. 

In an interview at the time, Kawakawa revealed he feared he was too ‘skinny’ to join the cast – who film the majority of scenes in nothing but swimwear.

Speaking to Sydney Confidential, the 22-year-old admitted he was ‘worried about what people would say’ regarding his body before filming commenced six months ago.

‘I have always been a skinny kid,’ he told the publication. ‘I was self conscious about how skinny I was.’

However, upon taking the role, Kawakawa – who moved from New Zealand to Australia to star on the popular soap – said he learned to ‘get over himself’ during filming, a move which has boosted his confidence greatly.

‘I’ve learned to love myself. When you love yourself enough, who cares what anybody else thinks,’ he added.

Home and Away resumed filming on May 25 at the Seven Network studios in Eveleigh, Sydney after adopting coronavirus safety measures.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the long-running soap set in place strict measures to ensure the safety of their cast and crew.

They include temperature checks and scripts being rewritten to work in social distancing.
