The Voice fans joke about The Veronicas Qantas incident as they launch new single on The Voice

‘Hold onto your flight crew it’s The Veronicas!’ The Voice fans joke about THAT Qantas incident after the duo launch their new single on The Voice

Last year, The Veronicas singers Lisa and Jess Origliasso claimed they were wrongly removed from a Qantas flight after a disagreement with a fight attendant.

And it seems the pair cannot live the incident down, as when they appeared on the Voice on Tuesday night, the jokes from fans came thick and fast.

The twin sisters, 35, performed their new single Biting My Tongue and were in fine form in racy black lingerie-inspired outfits.

However some fans took a crack at their September 2019 fracas, which made headlines.

One person Tweeted: ‘Please ensure your overhead compartments are secured The Veronicas are taking off!’

Another person watching at home chimed in: ‘Hold onto your flight crew it’s the Veronicas!’

Someone else wrote jokingly: ‘The Veronicas flew in via QANTAS’.

Another Tweeted: ‘The Veronicas, I’m so happy to see them on TV again I’ve missed them. They look so beautiful’.

The pair said the flight attendant refused to help with their overhead luggage and AFP officers were soon called onto the plane and had the sisters removed.

Speaking to The Sun-Herald ahead of their new MTV reality show’s premiere, Lisa and Jess said they believe their characters and brand have been ‘assassinated’ as a result of the saga.

‘We deserve to be absolved of any responsibility to do with this,’ Jess said. ‘Our characters and our brand have been assassinated in the media over this’.
