Former Bachelor Matty ‘J’ Johnson enjoys a family holiday to celebrate his 33rd birthday

Matty ‘J’ Johnson celebrated his 33rd birthday in style, enjoying a laidback family holiday on the New South Wales South Coast with his fiancée, Laura Byrne and the couple’s one-year-old daughter, Marlie-Mae.

Both Matty and Laura, 33, shared a series of photos and videos from their mini getaway on their respective Instagram Stories on Monday.

‘Woke up 33 years old today… Still feel like I’m a mature 17-year-old,’ Matty captioned a photo of himself lying on a sun lounge while dressed in a white robe.

The family stayed at luxury resort Bannisters, and shared several photos of their accommodation.

‘Back to our little home away from home,’ Laura wrote alongside a photo of herself sitting on the lounge as Marlie-Mae played at the coffee table in front of her.

When they weren’t relaxing at their hotel, the family ventured out on a series of hikes, making the most of the local beaches and bushland.

‘Sure we can have a relaxing birthday by the pool…’ Matty captioned a photo with his family on Instagram.

‘Jokes…’ he added, sharing a photo of a smiling Laura climbing up a hill with a backpack.

But the gruelling hike was worth it, with Matty sharing a photo of the stunning view from the top.

The family also visited the aptly named Pretty Beach, with a Speedo-clad Matty striking an awkward pose in the background behind his young daughter.

‘And the T-Rex skilfully [sic] stalks its unsuspecting prey…’ he joked.

Meanwhile, Laura shared a video of Matty singing a Wiggles song to try and soothe their daughter during one of their bush walks.

‘Bush walks are not as peaceful as they used to be,’ she captioned the video.

As the family made their way back home, Laura revealed she had been relegated to the backseat, ‘so Marlie doesn’t crack it’.

‘This is normal right,’ she captioned a video of Matty holding her foot on the console as he drove.
