High praise! Peter Andre, 47, has praised wife Emily, 30, for having chats with his daughter Princess, 13, and son Junior, 15, that he ‘wouldn’t necessarily feel that comfortable having’

The father-of-four made the revelation while speaking on their YouTube reality show Life With The Andres.

Peter said: ‘When you’ve got four children of all different ages, it’s really important that you split time between everybody…I’m trying my best, and Emily of course does the same.

‘She’s incredible and she has great conversations with Princess that maybe I wouldn’t necessarily feel that comfortable having – although I’m trying to get better at it.

‘Same with Junior, he asks medical things that I wouldn’t know the answer to, it’s great I have that helping hand in Dr. Emily.’

At the end of last month, Peter revealed how the family struggled to cope when wife Emily contracted coronavirus, calling it a ‘really scary’ time.

Emily had been working as doctor on the NHS frontline when she caught the virus at the beginning of the pandemic, and had to isolate on the top floor as they kept the news secret from the children.

Making matters worse, Peter’s son Junior also displayed symptoms of the virus, but they are now ‘pretty certain’ that he just had a cold.

Recalling the ordeal in his new! magazine column, Peter revealed that Emily’s symptoms included losing her taste of sense and smell and feeling achy.

Grateful: 'Same with Junior, he asks medical things that I wouldn't know the answer to, it's great I have that helping hand in Dr. Emily' explained proud husband Peter

He said: ‘It was a really scary time and also hard because I had six people in the house to look after.’

Explaining that Emily and Junior had to isolate themselves on the top floor of their home, he confessed: ‘We made out that Ems was at work during the day. It was so difficult when Theo and Mills were like “Why can’t I go with mum?”

‘The reason Emily kept it quiet was because she wasn’t 100 percent certain it was coronavirus and she didn’t want to make a fuss until testing was available and she knew for sure’.

While Emily has now had an antibodies test that proves she did in fact have the virus, the pair are ‘pretty certain’ Junior didn’t have it as he presented cold like symptoms prior to having a temperature, although he has not been tested.
