Josh Brolin shows off his dad bod in Malibu while celebrating Fourth of July with family

Josh Brolin has been enjoying some quality family time as he quarantines at home with his brood.

And the Academy Award nominee was surrounded by loved ones as he celebrated Fourth of July this weekend.

He showed off his dad bod Saturday as he went shirtless while preparing to catch some waves in Malibu with wife Kathryn Boyd and friends.

The 52-year-old sported a pair of black swim trunks, as he carried his surf board to the beach with the group.

Kathryn, 32, wore a yellow ‘shebam’ sweatshirt with a backward green trucker hat over her braided pigtails.  

She previously took to Instagram with a photo of herself and Brolin sitting outside, both rocking face masks.

The Atlanta-born actress captioned the photo: ‘Whatever you do today, if you got out in public, wear your mask, yall.’ 

The couple faced backlash back in April, when they broke quarantine to visit his father James Brolin, 79, and stepmother Barbra Streisand, 78.

Josh later apologized in an Instagram video: ‘My father lives next door to us, and we had a plan to go see them and not be near them, and that plan was broken, and that is our responsibility.

‘We were going to pick something up and show Bean the pool, because we don’t have a pool, and I think it was irresponsible.’

He continued: ‘The responses brought me back to my own truth. It’s humbling as hell, because I know there are some people out there with no masks, no gloves, no interest in it.

‘They think it’s in your head, that you’ll survive because of immunity that is created from your own psychic weight. But I know for me, that’s not the case, and we’ve been very responsible, and I apologize about that.’
