Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at Australia Zoo on March 25.

However, the Covid-19 pandemic meant that the couple had to make the tough decision to marry without many of their family and friends in attendance.

But according to Woman’s Day, the newlyweds are planning a secret second wedding in the U.S.

Special day: Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at Australia Zoo on March 25, but are said to be planning a second wedding in the U.S.

‘There is no denying that their wedding wasn’t what they wanted it to be, especially compared to what they had planned,’ said a source.

The newly married couple are believed to be planning to say ‘I do’ all over again Oregon.

The location means a lot to Bindi as it was where her mother, Terri, was born and raised and also the location where she married Bindi’s late father Steve in 1992.

‘They want to do it later this year – she loves the snow-capped mountains around there,’ added the source.

Of course, this news will surely come as a blessing to Chandler’s family who are based in the U.S. and where unable to attend the first wedding in Australia due to the pandemic restrictions.

It is also believed that Chandler hasn’t seen his family for months and the couple would love nothing more than to celebrate with them.

‘Bindi wants her in-laws plus her famous friends to be there for the party she really wanted,’ revealed the source.

This comes after the couple revealed last month that they had to forfeit their honeymoon to help keep Australia Zoo operational during the pandemic.

In an Animal Planet special set to air in August, titled Crikey! It’s the Irwins: Life in Lockdown, the couple discuss their decision.

‘We had originally planned to do a road trip for our honeymoon,’ Bindi says, adding that she and Chandler agreed to instead stay at the compound and look after their 1,200 animals.
