Summer Bay’s newest resident? Married At First Sight’s Cameron Merchant shares behind the scenes

He’s the former cricketer-turned-reality star.

And it appears Cameron Merchant may soon be returning to screens for an unlikely appearance on Channel Seven’s long-running drama, Home and Away.

The 36-year-old baffled his 195,000 followers on Thursday when he shared a behind the scenes clip from the show filming on location. 

‘It’s about to go down!’ he wrote alongside an animation of him eating popcorn from  his appearance on Married At First Sight.

‘On set @homeandaway,’ he wrote alongside the hashtag #allaction #fightscene and #seriousskills. 

In the footage shared to his Instagram stories, Cameron appears to capture a dramatic fight scene on the popular show. 

It’s unclear if Cameron will be appearing on the program, or was just playing the excited fan.

It wouldn’t be the first time a reality star looking for love ended up on the Channel Seven drama.

The Bachelor’s Sam Frost swapped her radio career for a stint on the long-running show back in December 2017.

Cameron’s brush with Summer Bay comes after wife Jules Robinson, 38, shared unseen footage of her husband farting during his appearance on MAFS.

In the eye-watering display, Cameron giggled like a schoolboy as Jules reprimanded him about how bad they smelled.

‘It absolutely stinks. Come and smell it. He thinks its funny, it’s not funny. We are not there yet and we will never be there,’ a younger Jules told the camera.
