Angela has been married to chef Damian for 15 years and the couple share two children, Callum, nine, and Bella, five.

‘My husband is a mystery, honey,’ Angela said, before praising him as supportive, grounded, trustworthy and an all-round ‘good man’.

The larger-than-life TV star added: ‘Because I’m very loud and out there,  I need that balance… Can you imagine two Angelas?’

‘We are the yin and the yang and that’s the secret – to respect each other’s boundaries, because we’ve been married 15 years now,’ she said proudly.

Angela wed her husband in her early 20s, but is believed to have met Damian shortly after relocating to Australia from Kenya at 17 years of age.

She claimed when she first started dating Damian he was shocked she had never made her own bed or cooked for herself following her privileged upbringing in the ‘Beverly Hills’ of Kenya.

Following Angela’s time on Big Brother, there is one thing that her husband hasn’t quite got his head around.

‘Every time we go to the shopping center or somewhere for breakfast, people are recognising me and he’s becoming the photographer and he’s getting really angry,’ Angela joked.

‘Everyone’s like like “do you mind taking this picture” and hands him the phone, and he’s like “oh god, babe. I didn’t sign up for this!”‘
