EuroMillions winner puts ‘showy’ £6.5m mansion up for sale

EuroMillions winner Adrian Bayford puts his seven-bed mansion with 189 acres that he bought after landing £147million jackpot on the market for £6.5million – but could make £1million loss on his investment

  • The father-of-two spent around £6m of his winnings on the luxurious Cambridgeshire property back in 2012
  • However, inflation in the years since then means the price of the estate now would be around the £7.2m mark
  • Furthermore, Mr Bayford has spent around £2m sprucing up the home, including adding a swimming pool
  • But friends of the multi-millionaire have insisted: ‘That house was so big and showy, it was never really him’

Euromillions winner Adrian Bayford’s seven-bed mansion has gone on the market – but inflation means the sale is set to lose him nearly £1 million.

The father-of-two spent around £6m of the £147m jackpot he and then wife Gillian scooped on the luxurious Cambridgeshire property in 2012.

The rising price of goods in the years since means the 189-acre estate would cost more than £7.2m today, but the former postman is marketing the house for just £6.5m.

Furthermore, Mr Bayford has spent around £2m sprucing up the home, adding a swimming pool, leisure centre and staff living quarters, according to the Sun.
