Big Brother’s Hannah Campbell credits show for helping her move after devastating split from ex

Big Brother’s Hannah Campbell says the show helped her move on after a devastating break-up (and you may recognise her ex-boyfriend)

Big Brother’s Hannah Campbell has credited the show with helping her get through her devastating break-up with ex-boyfriend Kyle Cranley.

The 26-year-old was so desperate to ‘pull herself out of the mental state she was in’ that she applied to be on the show while ‘bawling her eyes out’.

‘I was back living with my parents, and I was trying to come to terms with literally the man who I thought the world of who I was so in love with completely broke my heart,’ Hannah told Perth Now on Saturday.

Hannah said she had tried everything from ‘yoga to seeing a psychologist’, but it wasn’t until she entered the Big Brother house that she started to feel better.

‘I’m so happy again because I was given the opportunity to be on Big Brother,’ she added.

Speaking of her future, Hannah said: ‘I don’t want to go through this bulls**t anymore. I’m ready – I honestly always thought I’d see myself at this stage settled down with someone.’

Hannah entered the house as an intruder, and immediately got fellow housemates Talia Rycroft and Sarah McDougal offside.

Speaking to The West Australian earlier this month, Hannah said: ‘I was completely blindsided. I’ve always said to myself, the way a person treats you isn’t a reflection on yourself it’s a reflection on them.’

But Hannah said the girls’ treatment of her ultimately worked to her advantage.

‘At the end of the day – thank you to Talia and Sarah. From there I became stronger – I have nothing against them. It made me a better player in the game,’ she said.

Big Brother continues Monday from 7.30pm on Channel Seven
