TOWIE’s Kirk Norcross turns down return to 10-year reunion as ‘that toxic life is behind him’

TOWIE’s Kirk Norcross turns down a return to the show’s 10-year reunion special as ‘that toxic life is behind him’ and he’s happier unblocking drains

Kirk Norcross has turned down the chance to appear in TOWIE’s 10-year reunion special as that ‘life is behind him now and he’s only looking forward.’

The original cast member, 31, who now runs KN Jet Services in Essex, shot to fame on the show alongside Amy Childs, Mark Wright and Lauren Goodger.

However after considering a potential return, the father-of-two has decided not to return to TV screens and the ‘toxic’ world of reality TV, reports The Sun.

New life: Kirk Newcross, 31, who runs his own jet washing business, has turned down the chance to appear in TOWIE’s 10-year reunion as that ‘life is behind him now’

A source told the Sun: ‘When the idea first came up Kirk was up for it. But, over time, he’s changed his mind.

‘He’s had time to think about what going back might mean and he doesn’t want to go there. As far as Kirk is concerned that life is behind him now and he’s only looking forward.’

It had previously been reported that ITV bosses were keen for Kirk and his former flame Amy Childs to return to mark the show’s 10-year anniversary.

However in February Kirk revealed that he couldn’t be happier after swapping the ‘toxic’ world of fame for his drain unblocking business.

Kirk revealed that he found the world of fame to be a ‘brutal’ environment and has dramatically downsized his expenses since leaving it behind, reports The Sun

He explained how while on the show he was used to living a designer lifestyle and would ‘buy Ferraris’, but is now equally happy with clothes from the high street.

Kirk also admitted that appearing on reality TV turned him into a monster, but bosses didn’t want to do anything to help the monster they created.

The TV star added that he has come off Twitter as he no longer wanted to be exposed to comments from social media trolls.

Kirk has previously admitted that he contemplated taking his own life and said he took ‘a load of sleeping pills and just wanted to drift away but it didn’t work’.

He said he is happy to be alive as it means he can make a difference and he particularly wants to help men become more comfortable talking about their feelings.

The businessman added that he sometimes sees re-runs of TOWIE and has to do a double take as his life is so different now to the way it was.

Kirk originally starred on the show from its first series in 2010 before leaving in 2013. He also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and Ex On The Beach before turning his back on fame to start a drain unblocking business.

Kirk shot to fame on TOWIE as the wealthy, womanising son of Sugar Hut owner Mick Norcross. He started romancing Amy Childs although their romance was doomed.

The star then enjoyed a high profile on-off romance with DJ Lauren Pope before quitting the show.
