Tiffiny Hall on ‘fat days’ and life with husband Ed Kavalee

She’s known for her six-pack abs and her lifelong dedication to health and wellbeing.

And after becoming CEO of health and fitness program TIFFXO, Tiffiny Hall told Daily Mail Australia this week, that she too suffers from ‘fat days’ on occasion.

The 35-year-old admitted that she could feel off her ‘game’ for days or ‘even weeks’.

EXCLUSIVE ‘I remind myself it’s not about being shredded’: Fitness guru Tiffiny Hall, 35, told Daily Mail Australia this week that she too has FAT DAYS

When asked whether she ever feels sluggish or bloated, Tiffiny told Daily Mail Australia: ‘Absolutely. I have my days, weeks even! Maybe my jeans won’t do up and I’m feeling self-conscious, or I’m bloated and off my game.’

Tiffiny said in order to get herself into a positive mind frame, she reminds herself that ‘it’s not about being shredded or having abs’, but rather ‘overall wellness’.

‘Sometimes a sweet treat or delicious hamburger out with my husband (Ed Kavalee), or swapping out training for a recovery day is necessary for my mental health.’

The former The Biggest Loser trainer is a proud mother to two-year-old son Arnold with husband Ed, and is looking better than ever.

However, she encourages other mothers to not feel pressure to ‘snap back’ to their pre-baby weight.

‘It’s not about bouncing back, it’s about bouncing forward,’ Tiffiny told Daily Mail Australia. ‘Your body was made to change, so rather than chasing old goals, set new ones.

Tiffiny’s core exercises

Planks: There are so many variations to progress and regress, and they tone the glutes too – activate them while you hold the plank and you’ll see what I mean

Kicking: Front kicks crunch the abs to tone the core, while back kicks work your glutes like you wouldn’t believe!

‘Your focus should be on fitness, not fat loss, and on finding new strengths. Take it slow; don’t rush the baby bubble or disrespect the fourth trimester, and be kind to yourself – I can’t stress that enough,’ she continued.

‘Our body has just done something incredible, so major credit where major credit is due!’

While many consider Tiffiny and Ed, 40, to be a ‘power couple’, she insists that they’re just like the average family.

‘We feel like a normal couple; trust me, it’s all chasing Arnie around, dirty dishes and Netflix binging at the Kavalee residence, but we also feel very lucky to be in similar industries,’ Tiffiny said.

‘It’s really humbling to watch each other’s careers grow and share various aspects along the way.’

Tiffiny’s mother Jeanette Hall is also a fitness inspiration, with the 64-year-old impressing her daughter’s social media fans with her incredibly ripped physique.

‘She thinks it’s hilarious!’ Tiffiny said when asked about Jeanette’s reaction to her popularity online.

‘That fit and fabulous Jeanette you see on my Instagram is just who she is and who she’s always been – she’s unstoppable!

‘She had a full knee replacement this year and still finds a way to train every day. She’s the one who taught me about doing what you can: life’s not perfect, so if you can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk, sit down and do resistance training; just do what you can!’ she continued.

Foolproof ab exercises: Tiffiny swears by planks and front and back kicks, to tone the core at home or the gym

‘It is never about achieving a certain weight or size with her either, it’s always been about training to feel good, which is what shines through on Instagram. She says it should feel good to look great, without deprivation or punishment.’
