Australian Survivor’s Laura Choong welcomes a baby girl

Baby makes three! Australian Survivor’s Laura Choong welcomes a baby girl with partner Kev Bracks

She may not have been crowned the winner of Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders last year.

But Laura Choong, 31, has plenty to celebrate after welcoming a baby girl one week ago with her partner, Kev Bracks.

Laura shared a sweet photo of her baby daughter, Evie, to Instagram this week to celebrate seven days since the child’s birth.

‘A big day for our @evie.bo.bracks today – one week old and meeting the Aussie grandparents, Aunt and Uncle,’ Laura captioned the photo.

‘Quickly gathering a tribe of people wrapped around her little pinkie.’

Earlier this year, the couple held a baby shower amid the COVID-19 pandemic and Laura shared a photo of the celebration to Instagram.

‘We’ll take any excuse for a party of 20 right now but celebrating the final days before Baby Bracks’ arrival seems like a good one to us,’ she captioned the post.

‘And we snuck it in just in time!’

Laura was the first to be eliminated from Australian Survivor in 2019, and she told 10 Daily at the time that her short stature had worked against her.

‘I was devastated that so much of it was weight and strength based in the beginning, which really worked against me,’ she said.

Despite only having a brief stint in the jungle, Laura revealed on Instagram that she’d had a blast filming the series.

‘What an absolute wild ride,’ she wrote following her elimination.

‘I’m rapt to have been a part of such an epic experience and now be a lifetime member of the #survivorAU club. It’s pretty damn exclusive!’
