The unofficially start to the 2021 Awards season is being delayed and the Golden Globe Awards will take place on February 28, 2021.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Monday that the Globes would be postponed by about two months due to the coronavirus crisis and their new date is in the time slot formerly held by the 2021 Oscars.
Returning to the stage to host The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who have hosted together four times in the past.

Typically, the Globes officially kick off Awards season in Hollywood and are held annually on one of the first Sundays in January.
Tina and Amy are expected to host the telecast from the usual home of the Globes, the Beverly Hilton Hotel. However, due to the pandemic, it’s unclear what format the swanky affair will take.
In a statement, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said: ‘To accommodate both domestic and international film and television productions, the HFPA will provide further guidance around eligibility, voting period and revised nominations announcement timing in the coming weeks.’
The Golden Globes will air in the time slot recently made available after the Oscars were also postponed because of the COVID-19 crisis from February 28 to April 25.
The Golden Globe Awards will air live on NBC February 28, 2021 at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST.
