Stacey Solomon posts rare snap of ‘male role model’ Joe Swash with his eldest son Harry and baby Rex

She is mum to three sons by three different fathers.

And, Stacey Solomon shared a rare snap of boyfriend Joe Swash with his eldest son Harry, 13, from a previous relationship with Emma Sophocleous, with their son Rex, 12 months, also included in the photograph.

The Loose Women star, 30, branded the soap actor, 38, ‘the best male role model for our four boys’ in a sweet Father’s Day tribute to him on Instagram, on Sunday.

Stacey captioned the shot: ‘Daddy’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to the best male role model our four boys could wish for…

‘I know you missed out on so much with your own daddy but you’ve made up for it a million times over with our boys.

‘You are selfless, kind, caring and have put every cell in your body into raising you boys. I don’t know how we got so lucky 

‘Anyway enough cheese for one post. Our taxi driving, Fejka tan loving, window cleaning daddy.’ 

Stacey finished her post by adding: ‘Thinking of all of those finding today so difficult. Also thinking of all of those mums doing it alone. And all of the dads not able to be there when they desperately want to. Love you all.’

Back in December, Stacey explained why she didn’t share photographs of Harry, after her wasn’t included in their family Christmas snap.

The photograph showed Stacey and Joe with baby Rex, and Stacey’s two other sons Leighton, 8, and Zachary, 12, by two other men. But Joe’s son Harry was nowhere to be seen.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she said: ‘I’ve got loads of comments from people asking about all of our children, and why they are not in my photos. 

‘And unfortunately it is not something that I am able to do otherwise I would do it all the time. 

‘All the kids are a massive part of our lives and we love them all equally, and adore them, and behind the scenes we are very much on every stocking, in every book and in every photo.

‘But publicly that is not something that I can do and I totally respect that. We respect everyone’s wishes and we are a blended family and sometimes that is a bit more complicated than it seems.

‘I don’t know if that is the best way to explain it but I just thought because so many people are asking.’

Earlier in the day on Sunday, Stacey left boyfriend Joe in tears with a homemade Father’s Day card from their son Rex. 

The former X Factor star prepared his favourite meal consisting of fried egg, steak, lots of toast and mushrooms and brought it to him on a tray in bed. 

Stacey began her video by demonstrating how she was making the yummy breakfast.

She then shared a sweet snap of Joe, 39. in bed with his 12-month old son while enjoying a cup of tea.

Next the star showed the sweet display of presents that included a teddy bear wearing Rex’s first football kit and a personalised picture book with photos inside.     

Before bringing the breakfast tray to Joe, Stacey wrote: ‘Happy daddy’s day, we love you so much. He won’t look up at me because he is crying because he read the card first – BIG MISTAKE.’ 

On Saturday, the star paid tribute to her beloved partner and ‘amazing father’ Joe ahead of Father’s Day following his own family tragedy.

She was full of praise for her other half as she shared a picture of him playing with their son Rex on her Instagram page.

In the touching post, Stacey said nothing brings her more joy that seeing Joe interact with their boys – after his own father died when he was young. 

Stacey had shared a selection of other people’s sweet Father’s Day posts on her Stories, before also adding her own tribute to her boyfriend. 

She wrote: ‘Had to repost Hoe’s one didn’t I’.

‘…seriously though knowing how much of his own father he missed out on, losing him at such a young age… 

‘Nothing brings me more joy than seeing him being an amazing father to all of our boys. We are so lucky to have you.’

Alongside the heartfelt caption was a snap of Joe and Rex laughing together.

Joe was just 12-years-old when his father Ricky died from the undiagnosed heart condition Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.

In October last year, Stacey revealed her boyfriend Joe was hit hard by the trauma of his father’s death after welcoming their son Rex.

She candidly shared her partner’s struggle with grief during the hit ITV chat show on Friday. 

Stacey revealed that her presenter beau was heartbroken by the fact he would never be able to introduce Rex to his father – a London taxi cab driver who died suddenly in 1994.

The media personality said: ‘It is a trauma and I am always surprised that people are surprised that you grieve forever.

‘Joe lost his dad when he was 11 and it has had a fundamental impact on his life, especially when huge life events happen – even if they’re really positive.

‘When we had Rex, it was a trauma. At the same time as being the most wonderful thing in the world.’

Joe is also father to 13-year-old Harry, who he shares with ex Emma Sophocleous, but his late father not being able to enjoy the birth of a child ‘impacts him’ Stacey revealed.

Despite being ‘resilient’ and an ‘incredible person’ the former EastEnders actor is constantly dealing with the death of a parent, she added.

Stacey and Joe started dating in 2016 and moved in together at the end of 2018 before having their first baby together in May last year.

The former X Factor star also has children Zachary, 12, with her ex Dean Cox, and Leighton, eight, with her ex Aaron Barham.
