Peter Andre reveals his doctor wife Emily battled coronavirus

Peter Andre’s wife battled coronavirus after being exposed to the deadly virus while working as a National Health Service doctor on the frontline.

The medic, 30, believes she contracted the condition in March and self-isolated for two weeks, but kept her concerns a secret from the couple’s children.

Peter told the Sun Emily didn’t want to worry their kids Amelia, six, Theo, three, and his older children Princess, 12, and Junior, 15, from his marriage to ex Katie Price.

The singer, 47, said: ‘Emily became ill when the cases were soaring. Nobody knew the symptoms, not all doctors wore masks and Emily was very exposed.’ 

He continued: ‘I thought, ‘I can’t get it. What will we do then?’ ‘ 

The media personality reassured fans that his wife is now well and back at work, but added: ‘Just be­cause she’s had it doesn’t mean she’s im­mune. Is she even more likely to get it again?’ 

This comes after Peter admitted he is desperate for some alone time with his wife Emily, after having a house full throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker has been quarantining with Emily and their two children as well as Junior and Princess.

The reality star told Mirror Online: ‘It’s been really strange some of the kids going back to school, of course the only one who’s gone back full time is Millie.  

‘Junior and Princess still aren’t at school so they’re doing all their Zoom lessons from here so it still feels like half lockdown, but it definitely is a different feeling now.

‘I’m not gonna lie, it would be nice to have a day where it’s just me and Emily, but I’m sure that will come.’

Emily works as a doctor for the NHS and has been working on the frontline during pandemic while Peter has been looking after the children at home.  

It comes after Pete’s ex Katie said she would treat daughter Princess to a puppy for her 13th birthday – despite Peter refusing due to his wife Emily’s allergies.

The former glamour model, 42, is said to have picked out a French bulldog puppy for her soon-to-be-teen, with the pooch serving as a companion for family pooch Blade.

A source told The Sun of her plans: ‘The dog is arriving at Katie’s house next week.

‘Katie knows Princess has missed having a puppy around and now Katie’s only got one dog, she thinks it’ll be a good companion for Blade.

‘Princess will pick the name, but she’ll have to stay with Katie when Princess goes back to her dad’s, as Emily is allergic to dogs.’

The dog would prove to be a welcome addition to the home, as just four months ago Katie’s Alsatian Sparkle tragically died after running into the middle of a busy road.
