Delta Goodrem may have legions of adoring fans, but record executive Michael Gudinski isn’t one of them.

Speaking candidly with Perth radio station 96FM Botica’s Bunch with Fred and Lisa on Friday, the 67-year-old music industry heavyweight admitted he doesn’t love Delta’s music.

‘Look, I’m not the biggest Delta Goodrem fan, I must admit,’ he told the show’s shocked hosts.

Michael had been asked about the Music From The Home Front concert, which he had organised.

The concert was in recognition of Anzac Day and to thank those working on the frontline against the coronavirus pandemic.

And despite openly admitting he isn’t a fan of Delta, the 35-year-old singer was one of many high profile Australian performers who participated in the event.

After being asked what his favourite performances were from the concert, Michael singled out Jimmy Barnes and Birds of Tokyo.

He then said he didn’t really rate Delta overall, adding: ‘I’m not big on celebrities, I’m being honest here.’

‘I thought the COVID performance of hers lacked lustre,’ he continued.

But he said Delta’s rendition of Down Under alongside Colin Hay during the Music From The Home Front concert had been an improvement.

‘I thought her and Colin Hay were such a great combination. I thought she shone out of it,’ he added.
