Tommy Lee’s publicist unleashes on Triple M host Jess Eva for asking a ‘banned’ question about his famous exes – saying she should have ‘played by the rules’

Tommy Lee’s publicist Jamie Roberts has slammed Triple M host Jess Eva, after she asked the legendary rocker about which of his former lovers was ‘the best’ in bed.

In a statement to Fox News this week, after the Mötley Crüe drummer hung up on the radio interview, Jamie said that Jess should have should have ‘played by the rules’ rather than ask a banned question.

‘Like most publicists, I made them, and everyone else that interviews Tommy, aware of the numerous topics that Tommy would be interested in and willing to talk about,’ Jamie said in the statement.

Hitting back: Tommy Lee’s publicist unleashed on Triple M host Jess Eva this week for asking a ‘banned’ question about his famous exes – saying she should have ‘played by the rules’

‘And I also told them that I would terminate the interview if they couldn’t play by the rules.’

She added: ‘They didn’t do their job. So I did mine. Of the 50 interviews we’ve done in the past week, they were the only ones who couldn’t keep it together.’

‘It’s unfortunate that they are blaming it on Tommy.’

On Thursday, Tommy hung up on Triple M’s Moonman in the Morning breakfast show after being asked about his famous exes.

The American musician, 57, was being interviewed by hosts Jess Eva and Lawrence Mooney about his new album, Andro, which is set to be released in October.

After discussing the album and the COVID-19 pandemic, Jess decided to ask a more personal question about Tommy’s former lovers.

She said: ‘You are a hero to many men around the world because you’ve romanced some hotties in your time.’

‘Heather Locklear, Pamela Anderson, Naomi Campbell, Pink… Out of all your lovers, who was the best one?’

As soon as Jess finished asking him the question, the phone line disconnected and an automated voice said: ‘Goodbye.’

‘Did he just hang up on me?’ Jess asked her co-host.

‘I think we just got hung up on because you went into a no-go zone,’ Lawrence replied.

A radio producer then advised the hosts they had been told specifically by Tommy’s PR not to ask any questions about his ex-wives.

Jess insisted she had no idea that was a condition of the interview.

‘I didn’t know that! He’s a rock star. Of all the things Tommy Lee has done, surely that [didn’t offend him]? What was I meant to ask him?’ Jess said.

The producer then called Tommy’s publicist and the glam rocker agreed to continue the interview, with no further mention of the incident.

Jess later told listeners the satellite had just ‘dropped out for a moment’.
