He returned to work at Top Gear earlier this week after crashing a £250k 1990 Lamborghini Diablo and ‘cheating death.’
And Paddy McGuinness proved to be in good spirits as he went to the supermarket to grab booze, and shared a snap of his shopping trip on Instagram on Thursday.
The presenter, 46, joked that he managed to head ‘straight down to the essentials aisle’ without delay for the first time since the coronavirus crisis began.

Posing beside the aisle that was stocked up with beer, Paddy put on a low-key display as he wore a camouflage-print hat and a green raincoat.
Detailing how delighted he was by his shopping trip with fans, Paddy wrote in the caption: ‘First physical shop since lockdown began.
‘Straight in, straight down to the essentials aisle! I must’ve timed it right, it was nice and chilled in Marksies.’
On Wednesday, Paddy appeared in high spirits as he explained what had happened when he crashed while filming for Top Gear, and showed off the car wreckage.

He said: ‘Hello there! Back filming again today with Top Gear. I thought I would show you the Diablo. It’s on the back of the Low Loader. Gutted.
‘As you can see, the damage underneath there. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we can get her back on the road.
‘It wasn’t as bad as was made out yesterday, to be honest, but just shows you, a little bit of oil on a wet road, lethal. And I was only going about 35mph.
‘Anyhow, we live to fight another day. We’re in that now, the mighty Skoda. That’s the whip today. Now where’s the butty van.’

Paddy ‘cheated death after surviving a crash when he lost control of his supercar while filming the BBC show.
He had been driving in North Yorkshire when he skidded on oil at a slight curve in the road before crashing.
Paramedics and police crew were on hand to help Paddy following the incident, and a BBC spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘During Top Gear filming in North Yorkshire today presenter Paddy McGuinness’s car skidded and left the road, coming to an almost immediate stop.
‘Paddy was quickly taken to the production unit base for medical checks and is unhurt.

‘No other vehicles were involved and the Police, who had been monitoring filming, were quickly on the scene to assist.
‘Safety on Top Gear is always the production team’s priority and the vehicle’s speed at the time was within the road’s limit of 60mph.’
His wife Christine, 32, later took to Instagram to post a statement over the incident and claimed that the ‘Lambo got it much more than he did’.
MailOnline contacted Paddy’s representatives for comment at the time.

A source speaking to The Sun said he was just ‘a bit shaken’ and claimed: ‘Paddy is fine but a bit shaken as anyone would be when having a scare at speed.
‘It could have been a lot worse. There’s always paramedics and police on a Top Gear shoot so he was in good hands for a onceover but he’s smiling as ever.’
Paddy’s fellow presenters Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris are not believed to have been at the scene, as the TV personality was said to be testing the car alone when he span out.

The publication claimed that the car was later seen covered in tarpaulin after Paddy was no longer in the vehicle.
It was also reported that the police attended the scene after a roadside officer saw the incident while on their patrol, as the road is said to have a high number of crashes and collisions.
Last week it was revealed that Top Gear had resumed filming after the coronavirus pandemic halted the latest series of the hit BBC car show.
