In the picture, Brooke stunned in a yellow blazer, looking like a natural in front of the camera.

She first revealed she would be taking on the sports reporter position back in April, but the announcement was ‘bittersweet’ as the opportunity was being put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

‘It’s a bittersweet feeling knowing that I would have been starting my first ever broadcasting gig this year,’ Brooke said at the time.

She added: ‘Even regardless of that being on hold, I’m so thankful to even just being chosen for the opportunity to share NRL here in WA.

‘Fingers crossed it’s not for too much longer. I don’t know about you guys but I’m having withdrawals watching Friday night footy!’

Brooke told Daily Mail Australia in 2018 she suffered a nasty collarbone injury while playing rugby league in Perth.
