Carly Bowyer reveals the bizarre thing she did with her partner before finding she was pregnant

Former Married At First Sight star Carly Bowyer announced that she was expecting her first child with partner Neil Goldsmith earlier this week.

And on Wednesday, the 34-year-old revealed the most unusual thing the couple did before finding out the exciting news.

Speaking to Nova’s Finding a Unicorn podcast, Carly said while most mums-to-be appear camera-shy when they’re doing a pregnancy test, Neil decided to capture the moment on video.

‘He marched me home and sat me on the toilet and made me pee on this a stick and filmed me the entire time, of course,’ she laughed off.

‘I weed on the stick and we watched the stick together and all of a sudden, I’ve hit denial, but he’s like “It’s coming, it’s coming, I can see the extra line!”‘ she continued.

Speaking about her unusual baby’s nickname, Carly explained: ‘I don’t even know how it came about… I think Big Red (Neil) had like this box of biscuits, and one of us called the other ‘biscuit’ as a cutesy name, and it kind of just became the baby’s name.’

The couple made the news public when they announced the big news on social media on Tuesday.

The expecting parents shared an adorable sonogram picture of their ‘little biscuit’ as they announced Carly was at the 13-week mark. 

‘WE’RE HAVING A BABY!’ Carly told her 83,700 Instagram followers.

Before adding: ‘In what’s been a crazy 2020, we see a little baby light at the end of the tunnel. 

‘We’re over the moon, and can’t wait to meet our little Biscuit. More baby goss on my podcast @findingaunicorn tomorrow!’ 

Carly rose to fame after she failed to find love with ice cream entrepreneur Justin Fischer on the 2018 season of Married At First Sight.
