Big Brother fans left emotional as they re-live Ulrika Jonsson’s duet with the late Verne Troyer

Big Brother fans took a trip down memory lane when they relived the iconic duet between Ulrika Jonsson and the late Verne Troyer during a shopping task from the sixth celebrity edition in 2009.

During Wednesday’s Big Brother: Best Shows Ever, the TV presenter, 52, and the Austin Powers star, who passed away in April 2018 aged 49, transformed into Diana Ross and Lionel Richie as they belted lyrics to Endless Love.

Viewers were left feeling emotional as they lauded the Gladiators host for helping the shy actor perform their rendition in front of their fellow housemates.

Sporting wigs and elaborate costumes, the duo held back laughter as they attempted to sing the famous 1981 track, before sharing a friendly kiss on the lips. 

‘You helped me through the whole thing’, media personality Verne thanked the outspoken star, who joked: ‘Oh don’t be soft.’ 

Davina McCall paid tribute to the American comedian, telling co-host Rylan Clark-Neal: ‘God rest his soul, he really struggled with this task.

‘He knew he was, but there was no hissy fit and dramas. He sat in that bed with his headphones on, imagine trying to learn a track from scratch!’

The TV veteran also admitted she didn’t think Ulrika was a ‘girl’s girl’ ahead of her appearance on the show, confessing: ‘I always thought of her as a man’s woman. She smashed every preconception I had in my head.’ 

Poking fun at stint on the X Factor in 2012, an amused Rylan, 31, said: ‘It’s really difficult to perform in front of millions when you know you can’t sing! I should never sit on the TV and talk about someone else’s singing.’

Screen star Verne Troyer, who had openly struggled with alcoholism, sadly passed away aged 49 in April 2018. 

The thespian’s credits include Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone and Men In Black.

His death was ruled a suicide by alcohol intoxication Troyer, according to the Los Angeles County Department Medical Examiner-Coroner.

‘Are you trying to start some s***?’, the Gangsta’s Paradise hitmaker, 56, asked, to which the former Page 3 girl, 36, replied: ‘No, I’m trying to get you to shut up! You’re the most irritating person I’ve ever met.’
