Big Brother: Angela Clancy finally reveals why she makes her tea so milky

She’s the Big Brother favourite known for her love of tea – and she even made headlines this week for using a teabag that she’d dropped in the toilet.

And on Wednesday, Angela Clancy finally revealed why – despite being a tea aficionado – she likes her cuppa to be extra milky.

The 38-year-old, who hails from Perth, explained on The Morning Show that her tea looked so weak on Big Brother because she’d used full-cream milk.

‘Why do you have so much milk, Angela?’ host Kylie Gillies asked her. 

Angela replied by saying she’d had a few questions about how she makes her tea since Tuesday night’s episode. 

‘I’ve been getting all these messages, “Why is your tea so milky?”‘ she said. 

‘It’s because I don’t drink soy milk or any other type of milk, I like it full cream… Because it’s full cream, that’s why it seems it’s just milk.’

She went on to defend her milky brew, saying: ‘All I care about is tea! It’s not that much milk!’ 

Despite claiming it is her favourite beverage, Angela’s tea-making ability has been questioned by Big Brother fans in recent weeks. 

One viewer recently tweeted: ‘She may as well not have bothered with the teabag given how milky that tea was.’

‘That’s not tea, Angela, it’s basically milky water,’ another wrote, while a third added: ‘Wait… her tea is so milky!’

On Tuesday’s episode of Big Brother, Angela shocked fans by using a teabag she had accidentally dropped in the toilet. 

Angela confirmed the incident to Big Brother, saying: ‘Hell yeah [I did]. I’m not wasting anything. Tea is precious!’ 

Earlier in the season, she had burst into tears due to the lack of teabags while the housemates were living on limited rations.

She has said that drinking tea is like an addiction for her, and she even experiences withdrawal-like symptoms.
