Pip Edwards talks candidly about ‘being alone at 40’ as she covers Gritty Pretty

She’s rumoured to have ‘split’ from Australian cricketer Michael Clarke in April.

And now fashion designer and Bondi socialiate Pip Edwards has reflected on ‘being alone at 40,’ in the latest edition of Gritty Pretty magazine.

The mother-of-one candidly revealed in an interview with supermodel Elle Macpherson that she always feared being alone, but did some inner soul searching when she marked her birthday in isolation just weeks ago.

‘I think one of my greatest fears since, forever, was being alone,’ Pip told the publication, saying she’s alone romantically, but is content living life with her son Justice, 12.

‘Now, I’m really happy to be alone. I’ve probably never been able to say that.’

Pip added that before she celebrated her 40th birthday in April, she reflected on her life.

Pip reportedly broke up with retired cricketer Michael Clarke, 39, in April.

The pair were said to be dating for a short time after Michael’s split from his wife, Kyly, last year.

The Clarkes ended things in September, but didn’t confirm their break-up until February 12.

When news of Michael and Pip’s relationship surfaced, they both denied they were anything more than friends.

They told Daily Mail Australia in February they had been friends for 12 years and were simply working on a project together.

Pip also insisted the rumours were ‘absolutely unfounded and untrue’.

Their fling ended in early April after a source told Daily Mail Australia Michael decided he couldn’t handle the publicity that came with dating the activewear designer.

In April, a source told The Sunday Telegraph that Michael had moved back into his Vaucluse family home with ex-wife Kyly Clarke.

Michael and Kyly are parents to four-year-old Kelsey-Lee.
