Girl, 11, goes missing ‘in the company of a teenage boy’ in Sussex

Police are searching for 11-year-old Jaeda Leach who went missing ‘in the company of a teenage boy’

Police are searching for an 11-year-old girl who went missing ‘in the company of a teenage boy’.

Jaeda Leach left her home in Polegate, east Sussex, around 3.30pm on Sunday.

She has not returned since.

Sussex Police believe the girl – who is five foot two inches tall with dark straightened hair – is in the company of a teenage boy.

She left home wearing a dark-coloured Puma hoody, a green T-shirt, black leggings and pale blue Nike Air Max 97 trainers.

A spokesperson said: ‘Police are concerned for 11-year-old Jaeda Leach, who is missing from Polegate.

‘She was last seen leaving her home to go to the shops about 3.30pm on Sunday 14 June, but failed to return.

‘Jaeda is vulnerable, and is believed to be in the company of a teenage boy.

‘She is described as mixed race, about 5’2”, of medium build, with dark straightened hair. 

‘She was last seen wearing a dark-coloured Puma hoody, a green T-shirt, black leggings and pale blue Nike Air Max 97 trainers.

‘Anyone who sees her or knows where she could be is asked to dial 999, quoting serial 1178.’
